SHE was left reeling after the tragic death of her dog, Floyd. Now Miley Cyrus will have him alongside her forever, getting a tattoo of the departed canine during a party at her Los Angeles home.
Cyrus posted several photos while getting the tattoo done and also when the final product was finished. Her tattoo, placed on the left side of her body, included a design of Floyd with a speech bubble that read: “With a little help from my fwends [sic].”
Cyrus was left heartbroken after Floyd was killed back in April, reportedly after a coyote attack.
"I keep asking why would the world take my sweet boy from me? I’m just a baby myself… I depend on my mother still. She is the one at the end of the day I want to hold me when I’m sad, scared, lonely,” she wrote on Twitter. “I was Floyd’s mommy. I don’t know when the regret and the guilt will fade. I don’t know if it ever will.”
At the time, Cyrus’ mum, Tish, tried to heal her pain with a new dog, but the singer declared she wasn’t ready.
“I feel like I let my boy down. My job was to protect him and I’m not a person that takes failure lightly,” she continued. “Today is one of those days where I can’t open the curtains to see the sun…open the windows to hear the world going on around me because to be honest I hate the fact that the world’s still spinning. I want it to stop…I want everyone’s heart to break the way my heart is breaking.” Her heart has been healing, though. Last week, she adopted a new puppy named Emu.
