Victor Thompson, who
has a replica of the star quarterback's helmet inked on his bald head,
skipped a Florida court appearance and was still in the wind as New
England coach Bill Belichick tried to take the air out of DeflateGate.
A Florida judge issued an arrest warrant on Thursday for the wild-eyed super fan when he failed to show up for pre-trial hearing, The Smoking Gun reported.
Thompson, a 46-year-old transplant to the Sunshine State from New Hampshire, was allegedly caught in September with a bag of synthetic marijuana called spice when cops stopped him for trespassing at a community center.
The bust produced a series of stunning mug shots showing Thompson’s inked-on headwear from all angles.
The skull tattoo is a detailed replica of Brady’s helmet, including the star athlete's number 12 etched onto the back of his head and even equipment maker Riddell’s logo across his forehead.
Thompson was due in court on Friday and had previously skipped a Jan. 8, court records show.
His life on the lamb coincides with embarrassing days for his idol, who’s struggled to explain why 11 of the footballs the Patriots used during a 45-7 playoff victory against the Indianapolis Colts were under inflated.
Brady has insisted he did nothing wrong, and his coach, Bill Belichick, claimed the team “followed every rule to the letter” during a defensive news conference on Saturday.
The same can’t be said for Thompson, who pleaded no contest on Jan. 7 to separate charges of possession of spice and an open container of alcohol.
