Injured Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving has been forced to take a back seat while Matthew Dellavedova stars in this year’s NBA Finals.

Irving has been sidelined since fracturing his kneecap in overtime during Game 1 of the series against the Golden State Warriors, but made an appearance at the Cavs’ arena Wednesday and took part in a short press conference.

While journalists were keen to hear him talk about his injury, the emergence of Dellavedova and the continued brilliance of LeBron James — all anyone wanted to discuss on social media was the appearance of a very questionable tattoo on Irving’s forearm.

That’s right; one of the NBA’s brightest young talents has the logo of the hit 1990s sitcom Friends
inked on his forearm. Irving has a simple explanation for it.

It certainly doesn’t look like fresh ink, but it’s understandable no one has noticed it until now because Irving always wears a sleeve covering his left forearm when he plays.

Irving has more than a dozen tattoos inked over his body — including his mother’s name inscribed over his heart with wings and a halo. Irving’s mother, Elizabeth, died from an illness when he was 4.
Right now Irving is focused on supporting his Cleveland teammates as they seek to turn a 2-1 series lead into the city’s first NBA championship.

“I’ve been at home watching these guys play, texting all the guys, FaceTiming all the guys as much as possible and just letting them know that I’m there for them, no matter what,” he said.

Who do you think is Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey on the Cavs?
